I know, I know, I’ve been away waaaaaay too long. Sorry, life has a habit of getting in the way. But, I finally leave the Unites States and visit the first of the non-American parks on my journey around the world! In this episode, I reveal how Disneyland Paris was almost located in Spain, how the castle was almost a futuristic sci-fi tower, the secret meaning of the initials “D.M.”, and how NOT to get a free cup of coffee when you only have five minutes to spare. Plus, random Game of Thrones reference!
Magic Kingdom: Race Against the Clock
My final stop in Florida! Time is running short, and some of my best-laid plans are thwarted by flight delays, long roads, ill-timed parades, and Dumbo the Flying Elephant. I have one of the biggest scares of my trip when I lose my iPad, and a United Captain comes to my rescue! Plus, unexpected appearance by Anheuser-Busch.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom: Revenge of the Disco Yeti
This episode takes me on a VERY long drive around Animal Kingdom, past under-construction Pandora, past the never-constructed Beastly Kingdom, and into an encounter with the fearsome Disco Yeti (who is not a very good dancer).
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Bad Actors and Blackmail!
Continuing my recap of my round-the-world Disney adventure, I stop in at Disney MGM, er, Hollywood Studios, where Disney gets accused of “blackmail tactics” and I waste time with my hands in mucky Florida water, before my screen test goes up in flames.
Epcot: Baymax and Buckyballs!
Continuing my recap of my around-the-world Disney adventure, I land in Florida and head over to Epcot where I get sidelined by Baymax before taking a ride on a grand and miraculous spaceship (with some horrible acting).
What’s in the box?
I recently received two boxes in the mail from Disney, both loaded with fun historical goodies! This is my first-ever “un-boxing” video, and of course, SPOILERS ABOUND! Plus, bonus appearance by a petrified tree.
Disney California Adventure: Mater’s Long and Winding Road
Part 2 of my 11-ish-part series, going park-by-park through my trip around the world. At Disney(‘s) California Adventure, I explore the many twists and turns in the history of Car(s) Land and Tow Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree.
Disneyland: From Matterhorn to Mr. Toad
The first of a new series of videos where I dive into some of the history and trivia about the parks and attractions I visited on my trip around the world.
At Disneyland, I explain why the Matterhorn is like a block of Swiss cheese, and how Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride became more unique. Plus, historical appearances by the king of Belgium and the empress of Iran.
The Why and How (Much) of It All
Was I totally insane to go on this trip? Am I secretly a deranged millionaire? Those questions and more, answered in this video. Plus, I break down what the trip really cost, and I give a very quick overview of how to search for cheap multi-city fares on Google Flights.
I’m officially Disney-fied!
Disney posted their official video of my trip and an accompanying article on the Disney Parks Blog! #disneyfamous 🙂
